Vintage LAFUMA Mountaineering Rucksack / Backpack (most likely from the late 1950’s-1960's).


Made In France

Canvas/ Vinyl and Leather construction

Removable lightweight aluminum (metal )support frame for heavy loads and durability

Wool padded leather shoulder straps for comfort and durability.

1 Large Main Compartment with drawstring closure and a zippered compartment in top flap.

Two covered and strap closures side compartments.

Center compartment wit not a strapped cover and zipper to secure any valuables.

Thick Bottom panel

2 external side pockets

Various adjustable leather straps and metal buckets for a good fit.


Condition: Used, but in still in overall good condition. Has little wear for a bag thats nearly 60 years old. Interior is clean and there are no funky smells. Some discoloration to canvas but bag is removable and could easily be cleaned or washed.

Slight damage to leather cross brace. Can be repaid or replaced. See last picture.


Ships via USPS insured. Buyer can choose to upgrade to UPS if desired.
