We are happy to offer for your consideration a lovely French chandelier. Stylewise this particular chandelier falls between Art Deco and the arts and crafts time period. The time of manufacture was about 1940. Chandelier has features of both design periods.
It is in good antique condition. It will need rewiring and the finish has some oxidizing on the surface. Anyone looking to add a chandelier to an arts and crafts style home will find this one charming. It has just enough rounded edges while still remaining very linear. It has a classic two-tone metal both copper and bronze that was found commonly during the arts and crafts. It is a medium size chandelier and would work well above the table or in an entryway.
It is a unique piece and you won’t find anything manufacture quite like it today. It has a lovely faux candle covers for the light sockets. The French do not like change and when light fixtures started to go from Holding candles to using electricity, They still try to give them the old feel of a candle by covering the shaft of the electric light with a dripping candle looking sleeve. It gives us light fixture in old World feel.
