Antique Kyoto Japanese Silk Face Bride Doll Traditional Wedding Kimono 18" tall  These dolls were made in the 1920's and 30's with Silk Skinned or Mask Face as they were called.  Her face and neck are in beautiful condition with no  issues not mention.  Her face is hand painted and the detail is amazing.   She has no tag to know the maker.  She is mounted on wood square on Wooden Clogs with Tabs socks.   Her silk scarf has moth type holes.  I was able to roll it up and pin back in place, as not to see the holes.  The silk is very fine and is slightly darker then her Kimono.  She has a silk wrapped face and then hand painted.  One tiny spot on the back of the gown top layer, as it hangs over the wood stand.   The back Obi hangs almost to the bottom of the doll and had some type of crinkle paper as liner.  One side of the Obi shows a dark spot.   She has a light pink dress lining with the same shade as silk lining for the Kimono sleeves. The lining of the Body of the Kimono is matching cream color silk. Her body is cloth and wire with muslin cotton type material.  Her hands are wire and silk type fabric with fingers.  Her gown is off white color and in nice condition.  No stains are repairs.  Also no fading as her center Obi wrap is a dark Burgundy colors with gold printed trim undertone on the second Obi. Her wig is also in nice condition, with the traditional hair up with hair ornament.  The ornament is plastic and looks to be missing one side of the design.  At  the back silver cardboard is pined in place to hold the hair up.    Please see all photos and video for actual condition.
