OBJECT// Antique Japanese very fine Netsuke of Daikoku, Daikoku is one of the seven Japanese Gods of good fortune and hence why we see him here polishing a giant Peach, his robes intricately carved and good expression captured on him, the boxwood has been carefully lacquered to make the piece even more stunning, this piece is highly intricate in its depth of carving , the design forming a good compact Netsuke, beautiful charming piece, signed by the artist Shuzan . Dating from the 19th century, Meiji Period. Like all good Netsuke this object is good from every angle including the bottom , superb colour and patina, serious collectors object.
