Seller: uptowngirl3113 (670) 100%, Location: St George Brant, Ontario, Ships to: Americas, Item: 233313615241 antique PYROGRAPHY SET very rare TOOLS STAIN original art kit 1800s pyrogravure 19thC WRITING with FIRE – Victorian wood burning art kit … amazing museum find (most of these surviving sets are held in museums) – perfect for the pyrographer wood art collector - most likely, Flemish Art Co. … box and contents as shown and as found – please, contact if you would like additional photos · TOOLS: (some of these tools would have been added to the set over time) 1. pyrotool / pyrobrush? – with insulated grip (appears to be much like cork- some cork loss), which keeps the handle of the pyropen from getting hot and from my understanding and research is most likely, a platinum? point tip / various points of the pyropen would have been attached to the same handle - tip unscrews a shown – tip collar is stamped 3 and what looks like FA (for Flemish Art) - measures: 6.5”L with tip - opposite end for tubing measures: 1.25”L 2. fabulous antique wheeled tool w/ rosewood? handle – stamp patent dated: March 31, 1903 March 28, 1905 (unknown maker) – screw end cap missing – possibly, held various tips – measures: 5.5”L 3. small rosewood? handled flathead screwdriver 3”L – stamped – hard to make out but, looks like Stanley 4. antique brass & steel compass dividers – 5”L – triangle design with finger indent grip 5. small antique chisel – 4.25”L – rosewood? handle 6. fantastic chisel? – 5.5”L – maple? rosewood? flat rounded handle – snug fit w/ brass collar OTHER CONTENTS: · original absorbent batting material for pyrographic work to prevent explosion - as shown in glass bottle (was originally in a tin at some point in time) · original glass bottle with two ends for attaching the rubber tubing - glass bottle would have been filled with a flammable fluid ie: pyronaptha or similar (NO FLAMMABLE MATERIALS INCLUDED) (bottle and kit are free of any flammable materials) - bottle top connector shows age oxidation (might be brass?) - glass bottle requires bellows and tubing – easy enough to create your own with modern day rubber tubing and rubber bulb to use much like a perfume atomizer · unopened by me: two partial bottles of antique stain with original corks (small amounts remaining) - Flemish Art Stain orange powder (still powdery) - Panok Mfg.
