Made exactly like the bracket that has markings " THE READING " cast into it. Some people think that is the READING RAILROAD. This bracket says ENTERPRISE MFG CO and PHIL’DA. USA on the other. Truly a super heavy duty item that holds a heavy flag or banner in heavy winds! It is over 2 pounds of super strong cast iron. I saw a bracket of this style screwed to a window sill horizontally on the third floor of a townhouse flying a flag at a slight upward angle. The hole measures 1 9/16 ” in diameter so the rod or flag pole will need to be 1 1/2” or less. It holds the flag at a 20 degree angle. This flag pole bracket is cast iron with a darkened galvanized coating to prevent rust. It has no paint on cast iron that has nicely aged and achieved a neat color from years of rain.
