This beautiful violin shows no open cracks or open seams. The table is very fine grained spruce and the back, as well as ribs and neck, is nicely flamed maple. The instrument has been checked by our luthiers
and checked by our violin player on playability. In our workshop it received new setup with newly fitted elder ebony pegs, elder ebony chinrest, elder ebony tailpiece, a new bridge and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin! Old master violin in immediate playing condition!
