USAF ABU Butt Pack ALICE hookup Buttpack New Improved Air Force Battle Uniform. Offered here is one Butt-pack, US Air Force ABU (Air Battle Uniform) Tiger Stripe Digital with ALICE Hook-ups only , brand new, and never issued, made in the United States of America by tax paying American Citizens with American made DuPont Cordura Nylon and Military Specification hardware. These are compatible with the current military issue gear for secure hook-ups and transport. This is a new improved model of the Butt-pack, and has provision for strapping additional gear on the top and bottom of the pack and to the sides as well. This pack measures approximately 9 inches (25cm) wide, 8 1/2 inches (21cm) high and 5 1/2 inches (13cm) thick, has exterior straps to secure additional gear on the top and bottom, such as a bed-roll or tarp or other bulky gear. Loops will go out approximately 6 inches in diameter, there are two webbing Loops which will accept MOLLE pouches on the left and right sides, has in internal top covering sewn inside which is closed by a drawstring-secure lock, and drain hole in the bottom. It is NOT waterproof, but is water repellant . It utilizes two A.L.I.C.E. sliding metal attachment fixtures on the back loops which is compatible to current M.O.L.L.E. gear attachment. There are also metal rings on the back of the flap at the top to engage a harness assembly to carry a heavier load in the pack. Bless my competitors, they know what their look-alike gear is worth. This pack and all of my web-gear is manufactured with US MILITARY SPECIFICATION material, snaps, straps and hardware. You get what you pay for in either case. One final item, lots of folks ask what is the maximum dimension of the bag with the flap closed properly and for these photos, I put a cardboard box inside the pack which measured exactly 10 1/2 inches long , six inches tall and 6 inches deep and an open area at the top of an additional 1 1/2 inches deep and 10 inches long and six inches wide.It will hold and carry a lot of gear.
